The National Resistance Movement (NRM) 2nd National Vice Chairperson for Central Region, Hon. Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo, has called on party mobilizers to intensify grassroots organization and strengthen unity as the country moves closer to the 2026 general elections.

Addressing hundreds of NRM mobilizers and local leaders in Entebbe earlier today, Hon. Kasolo underscored the central role mobilizers play in maintaining the NRM’s dominance and ensuring that the party remains deeply connected to the people it serves.

“Our power as NRM does not come from the top; it comes from the people — the men and women in villages, parishes, and towns who believe in our vision. Mobilizers are the heartbeat of this movement,” Kasolo said.

He urged the mobilizers to remain active and visible in their communities, spreading the NRM message, countering misinformation, and explaining the progress made under President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s leadership. Kasolo emphasized that mobilization must go beyond election seasons, noting that sustained community engagement is the true foundation of political stability.

“Let us not wait for elections to start working. Every day is a day for mobilization — every home you visit, every meeting you attend, every person you talk to is an opportunity to strengthen the Movement,” he advised.

Kasolo also called for discipline and teamwork within party ranks, warning against internal divisions that could weaken NRM’s grassroots structures. He urged aspirants and mobilizers alike to respect the outcomes of the forthcoming party primaries and use internal mechanisms to resolve disputes.

“The Movement thrives on unity and loyalty. If we start fighting each other, we lose focus. Let us remember that we are all working for the same cause — to continue transforming Uganda under the NRM,” he said.

During the meeting, Hon. Kasolo took time to discuss key government programs such as the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga, urging mobilizers to ensure that citizens fully understand and benefit from these initiatives. He noted that these interventions are tangible evidence of NRM’s commitment to economic empowerment and inclusive development.

He also encouraged mobilizers to champion financial discipline, patriotism, and hard work among community members, saying that these values reflect the spirit of the NRM revolution and the leadership of President Museveni.

“Our Chairman has always guided us to work with integrity, humility, and service to the people. That is how we will maintain the trust of Ugandans and secure victory in 2026,” Kasolo emphasized.

The mobilizers in attendance pledged to intensify their activities within Entebbe and the wider Central Region, promising to continue engaging residents and strengthening the NRM’s presence on the ground.

Hon. Kasolo’s meeting forms part of a wider effort by the NRM leadership to revitalize party structures, consolidate grassroots support, and ensure readiness ahead of the 2026 general elections.
