The Buganda Ku Museveni mobilisation drive made a strong stop in Mpigi District on Sunday, drawing massive crowds and renewed political energy. Hon. Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo, Minister of State for Microfinance, and Rt. Hon. Rose Namayanja Nsereko, the Deputy Secretary General of the NRM, jointly addressed residents with a clear message: unity under the NRM is the surest path to effective service delivery and sustained development.

Hon. Kasolo urged the people of Mpigi to rally behind NRM flag bearers at all levels in the upcoming elections. He stressed that when the President, Parliament, and local leaders come from the same political family, service delivery becomes faster, coordinated, and impactful. He pointed out that divided representation slows progress and limits the flow of government projects, yet communities deserve timely access to services such as roads, healthcare, education, and wealth creation programmes.

Kasolo also highlighted how NRM’s leadership has transformed many districts through initiatives like the Parish Development Model, Emyooga, and youth empowerment schemes. He called on residents not to be swayed by opportunists who seek votes without the capacity to deliver. According to him, supporting NRM MPs ensures stronger advocacy for Mpigi’s needs and direct engagement with the central government.

Taking to the podium, Rt. Hon. Rose Namayanja commended the people of Mpigi for their strong turnout and unwavering support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. She reminded them that the NRM’s legacy of peace, stability, and development sets the foundation for everything Ugandans enjoy today. Namayanja underscored the importance of political cohesion, arguing that unity behind NRM candidates is not just about winning elections—it’s about safeguarding the progress made over decades.

She went on to narrate how the NRM has consistently invested in national infrastructure, education reforms, social services, and economic empowerment. Namayanja also emphasized the need for communities to stay engaged in mobilisation efforts and ensure that misinformation from detractors does not undermine the party’s achievements and future plans.

Both leaders encouraged residents to turn mobilisation into action by voting in representatives who will champion Mpigi’s priorities. They promised continued government investment in roads, schools, health centres, and entrepreneurship programmes, reaffirming that no community will be left behind under NRM leadership.

The Mpigi event is part of the broader Buganda Ku Museveni mobilisation strategy aimed at strengthening grassroots support across the region ahead of the 2026 general elections. With leaders like Kasolo and Namayanja on the ground, the NRM continues to emphasise service delivery, stability, and continuity as its core message to the electorate.
